At the age of 16, Malissa became a finalist in the Songwriter Of The Year competition held by Capital Radio, Coca-Cola and The Evening Standard. As a result of the above she appeared on Channel 4’s cult TV show The Word, before landing a job working alongside Richard Park, Head of Programming at Capital Radio and its in-house label ‘Wildstar Records’. This partnership was instrumental in launching the careers of artists like Craig David, Travis and Mis-Teeq. She later launched her own independent production company, Diverse Music, which led her to write for both new and established acts. Malissa’s success propelled
her to co-host the transatlantic radio show ‘Out Loud’ from Chicago and launch her own worldwide broadcast, ‘Just a London Girl’ airing on over 40 stations across the USA, New Zealand, South Africa, Singapore, Russia, Asia, and Europe. Over the past year, she’s interviewed icons like John Oates (Hall & Oates), Howard Jones, Kenny Thomas, Julie Peasgood, Matt Hoy, Skyler Jett and Jethro Sheeran. Malissa Whitehouse is not just a singer-songwriter but a multi-faceted artist with experience in music production, songwriting for new and established artists, and television format creation.
